    Private one-to-one chats that arrive instantly and stay in sync on every device you sign in on.

  • Replies, edits and reactions

    Quote a message in your reply, fix a typo, react with an emoji, delete for yourself or for everyone, and see when a message was delivered and read.

  • Photos, videos and documents

    Share pictures, short videos and documents. Every upload is checked for malware before anyone can open it.

  • Voice notes

    Say it instead of typing it: record, send and play voice messages.

  • Emoji and stickers

    A full emoji picker and a set of stickers that are sent as real messages.

  • 24-hour updates

    Share a text, photo or short-video update with your contacts. It disappears after exactly 24 hours.

  • Notifications

    Turn on notifications to hear about new messages when you are not in the app.

  • Organise and search

    Pin, archive and mute conversations, and search your messages and media captions to jump straight back to them.

    Add BTHHD Portal to your home screen or desktop from your browser. Text you write while offline is sent when you reconnect.

How it works

  1. Sign in with your email

    Open app.bthhdportal.com and enter your email address. We send you a one-time code — there is no password to remember.

  2. Set up your profile

    Choose a display name and, if you like, a username and photo. Your privacy settings start private, and you decide who can find you.

  3. Start a conversation

    Find someone whose privacy settings allow it and say hello. Add the app to your home screen to keep it one tap away.

Straight answers about privacy and safety

  • Encrypted connections

    Everything travels over HTTPS. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: they are stored on our servers so they can be delivered, synced across your devices and searched.

  • Private by default

    Your profile and discovery settings start private. Moderators cannot browse your conversations: they see only what a person chose to include in a report.

  • Real deletion

    Delete a message for everyone or delete your whole account. Deletions are recorded independently so they can be checked later.

  • People review reports

    You can report an account or a message. Reports are reviewed by people, never decided automatically, and decisions can be appealed.
